Psalm 83 Promises to Prove Jehovah is the Most High God

When it comes to the biblical “End Times,” it’s no mystery that mankind has been plunged headlong into this perilous period. The world’s hourglass tipped for its final turn when Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948. The rebirth of Israel, identified as the “fig tree” in Matthew 24:32, was clearly intended to be the super-sign of the last days. Presently, almost every weapon has been fashioned, technology discovered, and national relationship developed, to enable the plethora of remaining Bible prophecies to find fulfillment soon and sequentially.
However, when it comes to last day’s mysteries, there is one that has recently been revealed. It was an ancient Hebrew foretelling that had eluded the prophetic perception of Bible scholars for over 3000 years!
In my latest book called Psalm 83 – The Missing Prophecy Revealed, How Israel Becomes the Next Mideast Superpower, I point out that Psalm 83 contains the missing piece of the prophecy puzzle. Understanding this centuries old prediction becomes crucial when sensibly sequencing end times events.
WAR IS COMING TO THE MIDDLE EAST, proclaims the Psalmist! Asaph, the author of Psalm 83, was also a prophet according to 2 Chronicles 29:30. In no uncertain terms he predicts that someday Israel’s historic Arab enemies will form a final confederacy in an attempt to eradicate the Jewish state and abolish the name of Israel forever.
They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You. (Psalm 83:4-5, nkjv).
This impending prophecy appears to now be imminent. Apart from fragile peace treaties between Israel and Egypt and Israel and Jordan, all participants identified in Psalm 83, Middle East events could mushroom into the “Mother of all Mideast Wars.”
The culmination of volatile evolving events resulting from the Arab Spring of 2011, coupled with Iran’s rapid race to become a nuclear nation, has turned the Holy Land into a prophetic Pandora’s Box about to burst at the seams. The international community has wasted over six decades since Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948 in failed efforts to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict; and now the Psalm 83 populations are armed and dangerous.
From top to bottom the modern day equivalents, listed by their historic names in Psalm 83:6-8 are identified in the image. They are Israel’s enemies from time immemorial, and today they are fixated on bannering the plight of the Palestinians. Observe that the very first member identified is the “Tents of Edom.” This is significant for two reasons.
First, when a member of a confederacy is listed first it labels them as the lead participant of the prophecy. They are likened to the star of the show, similar to the credits at the end of a movie that rank the actors in order according to the significance of their roles within the film.
Secondly, the Edomites are listed as tent-dwellers, which biblically brands them as refugees. In my Psalm 83 book, I evidence a clear connection between the Palestinian refugees today, and the Edomites of old. The modern day Edomite descendants became tent-dwellers immediately after the Arab-Israeli war of 1948, and they desperately still seek a Palestinian state of their own. Although not all Palestinians are Edomites, there is a definite connection to be made.

Psalm 83:9-12 explains that the goal of the Arab confederacy is to possess the Promised Land, like Israel’s ancient enemies the Midianites and Caananites once did. These verses also beseech the Lord to defeat the dreadful confederacy by empowering the Israeli Defense Forces similar to when Gideon defeated the Midianites and Barak defeated the Canaanites. In both instances the enemies of Israel were defeated from top to bottom, infantry to generals, and princes to kings. In the end analysis, the Midianites and Caananites were defeated so soundly that they ceased to ever oppress Israel again. These historical accounts can be read in Judges chapters 4 through 8.
Moreover, Psalm 83:13-17 petitions the Lord to make the confederates like stubble, burning wood, blazing fire, persecuted, afraid, ashamed, confounded, and ultimately to perish. To the extent that the Arab confederacy will recognize that Jehovah alone is God. Below is what the final verse of the Psalm says concerning this climactic concluding Arab-Israeli war.
“That they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD, [Jehovah] Are the Most High over all the earth.” (Psalm 83:18, nkjv).
When the prophecy is fulfilled the record will be set straight as to whether Allah, the god of Islam, or Jehovah, the God of the Bible is the greater God. This is because the Psalm 83 Arabs are all predominately Muslims. In the aftermath of an IDF victory over the Psalm 83 confederates, no longer will the Islamic Jihadist be able to declare confidently, “Allahu Akbar,” which is commonly interpreted as Allah is the greatest, or the greater god. The reality will begin to promptly set in among Muslims across the globe that Allah is an imposter, the greatest false god!
The prophet Zephaniah sheds more light upon the demise of Allah.
The LORD will be awesome to them, For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, Each one from his place, Indeed all the shores of the nations. (Zephaniah 2:11, nkjv).
